Welcome to the Nittany Hockey League

Our Ice Hockey league consists of the Competitive "A" league and Recreational "B" league. For players just starting to hone their skill, we offer sign-ups for beginners during the "Bears vs Bruins" games. Additional games are available for the "40+" individuals over the age of 40. Last, if you just want to play a competitive pick-up game, we have our "Tuesday Night Pick-up" for you. All players must read the rules and regulations for the league including the Pegula Ice Arena - Code of Conduct.

Winter Weather at Pegula

Information about Pegula’s inclement weather policy.

In the event of a campus snow closure, Pegula Ice Arena will be closed to all public users for the day.
In the event of a delayed campus opening, Pegula Ice Arena will not open until at least the time of the delayed campus opening.
In the event of an early dismissal, Pegula Ice Arena will close to the public at the time of dismissal.

Pick-Up Games

Three different types of pick-up games are available. Sign-up below for Bears and Bruins (slower pace) or 40+, then your information will be shared with the organizers.

Tuesday Night Pick-up is a general session normally on Tuesday nights. Please watch the schedule as sometimes the day and time does shift. Reach out via the website if you would like to play and we can connect you with the organizer.

Fall 2025 Registrations CLOSED

The 2025 Fall recreational hockey registrations for A and B Leagues are closed. 2026 Spring Season Registrations open in early December.
